Highwood Properties made a big announcement last week: It plans to sell or most of the Country Club Plaza retail development in Kansas City, Missouri.
Country Club Plaza has earned a bit of history for itself: The development ranks as the oldest vehicle-centered shopping area in the country.
Eastdil Secured is the listing agent marketing the property to potential buyers.
In a written release, Glenn Stephenson, vice presidents for the Kansas City division of Highwoods, said that he and his fellow company officials are proud of the work they have done maintaining and improving Country Club Plaza over the years.
“The Country Club Plaza is Kansas City’s crown jewel, not only now, but for generations to come,” Stephenson said in the release.
