Hilliker Corporation recently helped a St. Louis performing-arts studio expand to better serve its growing audience.
Utopia Studios, a company that rents rehearsal studios to performing artists, recently leased 13,000-square-feet of space at 3965 Park Ave., which is next door to its 25,000-square-foot headquarters at 3957 Park Ave. The additional space offers more opportunities for musicians, dancers, photographers, videographers, theater groups and artists to lease hourly studios.
Founded in 2004 by husband and wife Spence and Amy Harrison, Utopia Studios plans to create seven new studios ranging in size from 150 square feet to 3,000 square feet. The additional studios will be completed by July of this year. The more than 100-year-old building is the former home of Liggett & Myers Tobacco Company, which used the building to store tobacco.
Hilliker Corporation broker Meade Summers represented both the landlord, Archein Construction Company and the tenant, Utopia Studios, in this five- year lease.
