Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP has signed a letter of intent with Chicago developer The John Buck Company to relocate its Chicago office from 222 N. LaSalle St. to a new 36-story office tower at 151 N. Franklin St. in Chicago’s central business district.
Hinshaw will lease 100,000 square feet in the new building, spanning the 14th to 17th floors, and will adopt universal office sizes for all attorneys.
The office tower at 151 N. Franklin St. will offer modern amenities, including a roof-top park; advanced energy systems allowing for the highest efficiencies available, resulting in reduced power usage; floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall windows providing maximum light; and a universal office design. The office space will be designed to incorporate custom features for Hinshaw such as next-generation technology and communication systems, a flexible planning module to adopt to further growth and natural light collaborative work areas for connectedness.
Hinshaw was represented in the deal by Kaye Gregg and Robert Wislow of U.S. Equities/CBRE. William R. Rolander, Jr. and Jonathon Cordell represented The John Buck Company.
Chicago is home to Hinshaw’s largest office, which also serves as the firm’s headquarters. Established in 1934, the office has grown to include 165 of its firmwide 535 attorneys. The firm has offices in 11 states and London.
