Hoerr Schaudt Landscape Architects elevates five to partner

Hoerr Schaudt Landscape Architects has promoted five members of its Chicago team to partner. The individuals are Carroll Conway, John Evans, LEED AP, Nicholas Fobes, PLA, LEED AP, Rob Gray, PLA, LEED AP, and Simon Prunty.

Conway has been with the firm for almost two decades and her responsibilities include maintaining appropriate levels of qualified staff, establishing and monitoring policies and procedures for office operations and assisting in the firm’s marketing efforts. She works closely with project managers to review project work plans and budgets, as well as conduct and organize document review meetings.

As the leader of the firm’s construction administration team, Evansensures the quality, high craftsmanship and durability of the studio’s projects. While his rural Indiana background shaped his deep appreciation of the Midwest, he has trekked to far-flung corners of Peru, Mexico, England and Canada, keenly observing how things are built along the way. Generous with his talents, he assisted his wife, a landscape architect, in the completion of a creative play zone for their children’s school.

Fobes is an organized planner, provides a solid underpinning for others to work together and moves complex projects through each phase of the design process, from concept and budgeting to coordinating the design team and consultants. A Minnesota native who identifies Chicago as home, he loves the way the city offers up what seems like an endless list of restaurants, parks and neighborhoods to explore.

As a creatively driven landscape architect and urban planner, Gray provides design leadership across multiple facets of the built environment and public realm. With unique visualization, representation and communication skills, he enjoys inspiring community dialogue and making abstract concepts more tangible for clients. Gray is also a strong advocate for sustainability in design, and has been involved in the development of numerous complex projects that thoughtfully integrate green infrastructure in the public realm.

Prunty, hailing from the U.K. and known by the firm and his clients for an ability to conceptualize and detail creative design solutions, leads design teams, solves challenging design problems, and contributes to the management of the firm. By paring down the odds to the best possible scenario for any design option, Prunty opens the door to creative and beautiful ideas that can be fully realized in construction.
