Treystar welcomed Horizon Bank to downtown Kalamazoo, Michigan. The regional bank will open a new professional office in Treystar’s Monroe Building at 151 E. Michigan Ave. within the Haymarket Campus.
Constructed in 1905, the Monroe Building was originally home to the Kalamazoo City Savings Bank and features a neoclassical exterior with 13,000 square feet of private offices, conference rooms, collaborative space, and a kitchen spread throughout two floors and a full basement. Horizon Bank will occupy nearly 4,000 feet at the street level of the building.
The downtown location will be Horizon Bank’s second within the greater Kalamazoo market. Unlike a traditional bank, the new office will focus on providing comprehensive commercial and personal banking services.
Stretching from the Monroe Building at the corner of East Michigan Avenue and Portage Street and extending down Michigan Avenue to the Main Street East Building and Edwards Street, the Haymarket Campus is a single source for professional and personal needs.
Horizon Bank’s new location is expected to open in the 4th quarter of 2024.
