Houston-based AMB Architects promoted Roy Locke to managing principal.

Locke’s elevation to the AMB leadership team stems from his demonstrated value to clients and leadership in firm operations. He joins firm founder Alyse Makarewicz and Managing Principal Breann Nash at the helm of firm management. Locke will lead technology adoption and integration, and he’ll have oversight of AMB’s project process.

Within AMB’s collaborative team, Locke is responsible for developing design concepts and strategies that align with clients’ goals and budgets. He brings ideas to life through the integration of architectural elements, finishes, and furnishings. His creative energies and background in architecture and urban design provide a platform for exploring the intersection of these practices with interior design and landscape architecture.

Locke leads AMB clients through the design process and walks alongside them during construction. He is a Registered Interior Designer and Registered Accessibility Specialist, meaning he knows how to create functional and beautiful interior environments that will accommodate people of all abilities.

You can see Locke’s work in AMB projects like the Lyric Food Hall, The HUB at The Galleria, and the Spencer Fane Houston office renovation.
