Houston’s Telios names new vice president

Houston-based Telios, a building systems engineering and consulting firm, has promoted Brian Hancock to vice president.

Since 2018, Hancock has led the Telios Houston technology team. He has more than 25 years of experience in technology strategic planning and design for security, audio/visual, nurse call, wireless and wired cabling and other complex technology environments.

With degrees in Engineering Management (MS) and Computer Engineering (BS) from the University of Kansas, Hancock has worked across the US and internationally on a broad array of complex projects including military bases; embassies; industrial and manufacturing; universities; professional and university athletic facilities; multifamily, hospitality and mixed-use developments; data centers; life science and research labs; corporate headquarters and healthcare.

Known for his thoroughness, Hancock has a broad understanding of intelligent building systems, data center design and other advanced computing environments, and proactively addresses challenges commonly seen with complex technology and cross-trade coordination.
