Hunt Midwest has secured leases with Parisi Café and Evolve Juicery & Kitchen for a combined 4,135 square feet of ground-level retail space at The Vue, its $49 million mixed-use redevelopment project under construction at W. 80th Street between Marty and Floyd Streets in downtown Overland Park, Kansas.
Parisi Café will occupy 2,293 square feet, including a 400-square-foot covered outdoor patio on the northwest corner of the property. Upon opening in early 2019, the café will serve artisanal, hand-crafted espresso and coffee drinks and a variety of pastries baked in its own bakery in the Crossroads District of Downtown Kansas City. Additionally, Parisi café will offer sandwiches, soups and a wide variety of grab-and-go food and beverage items. Next to its flagship location inside of Union Station, this is the brand’s second café in the Kansas City metro serving up an excellent coffee experience.
Evolve Juicery & Kitchen will give local residents and patrons a healthier option for eating on-the-go when it opens its 1,842 square foot fast-casual dining concept in October. Evolve will offer a selection of freshly prepared meals, side dishes and cold-press organic juices created by a team of in-house chefs and dieticians. It will also serve as a spot where customers can pick-up meals ordered online.
Hunt Midwest has been strategic in selecting tenants for The Vue, according to Ora Reynolds, president and CEO of Hunt Midwest, and it’s paying off.
“We wanted The Vue to house a mix of retailers that would provide highly desirable products and services to our residents and the greater Downtown Overland Park community. As locally owned, well-established businesses, Parisi and Evolve are in tune with the vibe of Downtown and add to the eclectic mix of retailers within walking distance of The Vue.”
Above the 8,650 square feet of commercial space are 219 one- and two-bedroom luxury apartment homes with attached, structured parking and an assortment of indoor and outdoor community amenities. Pre-leasing of the apartments is underway, and residents will begin moving into The Vue in early December.
