Following a six-month renovation, the Millennium Hotel in Minneapolis has reopened. The property’s renovation carried a price tag of $22 million.
Millennium Hotels and Resorts, owner of the property, said that it has remodeled all 321 of the property’s guest rooms and its public spaces.
This is good news for travelers and for fans of iconic buildings. The hotel has been part of Minneapolis’ downtown since 1963. Back then the building was known as Capp Towers.
In a written statement, Robert Rivers, regional general manager with Millennium Hotels and Resorts, said that the renovated hotel will appeal to a wide range of travelers while retaining the build’s historic charm.
“We have created a modern hotel that appeals to corporate travelers, convention attendees and our local guests through new spaces and experiences that cater to their specific needs,” said Rivers in his statement. “We look forward to welcoming everyone back with an impressive redesign and continued commitment to service.”
