As part of Collinsville, Ill.-based Oates Associates‘ long-range ownership transition plan, Barbara Anderson has purchased shares of stock in the engineering and architectural services firm.

Anderson lives in Edwardsville, Ill.

“Barb has demonstrated a strong commitment to the success of our company,” said Oates President and chief operating officer Bruce Schopp, in a written statement. “We look forward to continuing to grow with her and our building services group.”

Anderson has secured many new business opportunities for Oates, including work for federal, municipal and educational clients. Projects include park masterplans, water treatment facilities, recreational facilities, and K-12 and higher education building and athletic projects.

Anderson currently manages projects for the Illinois Capital Development Board, Illinois Department of Transportation, Illinois Department of Natural Resources, Scott Air Force Base, Department of Military Affairs, Corps of Engineers and several municipalities and school districts.
