Des Plaines, Ill.-based Peak Construction Corporation recently broke ground as general contractor on a new Hilton Garden Inn Hotel on Nordic Drive near Iowa Highway 58 and Ridgeway Avenue in Cedar Falls, Iowak for hotel owner Chris Bro III.
Construction is now underway on the 113-guestroom facility following a late September groundbreaking.
The four-story stucco-finish hotel with cultured stone masonry accents features a 5,000-square-foot banquet facility, a full-service restaurant, a fitness center and an indoor saline-solution swimming pool.
The hotel will occupy four-and-a-half acres of land within the Lockard Pines development. The Hilton Garden Inn is set to open in Summer of 2012.
Cities Edge Architects, Inc. designed the structure and VJ Engineering, based in Cedar Falls, performed the site engineering.
This represents the sixth significant hotel development for Peak Construction Corporation.
