Construction-management firm IMPACT Strategies recently began building a 70,000-square-foot retail center and Schnucks store in the Knoxville Crossing Development in Peoria, Illinois. Schnucks will serve as the anchor tenant for the center, which is part of a larger mixed-use development by The DESCO Group of St. Louis.
IMPACT Strategies is collaborating with BRR Architecture, Inc., in Merriam, Kansas on the project. The store is being constructed of a contemporary mix of concrete, brick, and glass while maintaining the legendary brand for the Schnucks family of stores – with many amenities for convenience and service to its growing customer base. Knoxville Crossing will be the grocer’s second location in Peoria.
The project is one of several Schnucks retail developments constructed by IMPACT Strategies throughout the Midwest for The DESCO Group. Most recently, the company completed constructing Schnucks University Commons, which is part of a large-scale mixed-use development adjacent to Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri. IMPACT Strategies also completed a major renovation of the Schnucks store in Swansea, Illinois.
