Indianapolis’ Schmidt Associates debuts Waypoint Strategies planning division

Indianapolis-based architectural and engineering firm Schmidt Associates launched Waypoint Strategies, a new division dedicated to helping organizations plan, build, maintain and operate facilities.

Waypoint Strategies’ mission is to meet owners where they are, offering tailored solutions that go beyond technical proficiency to ensure projects are delivered with understanding, respect, and care. Focused on providing owner’s representation, program management, facilities management, and operational strategy services, this initiative is a testament to Schmidt Associates’ commitment to providing comprehensive, client-focused services.

Schmidt Associates is pleased to welcome Audra Blasdel as Division Lead, Waypoint Strategies, to spearhead this new initiative. In her new role, Blasdel will engage Owners as their advocate to ensure their projects deliver on intent, are technically sound, and serve the organization’s overall objectives.

Blasdel’s appointment and the addition of Waypoint Strategies reflect Schmidt Associates’ unwavering commitment to providing Owners with a comprehensive set of services, elevating the design of spaces that enhance the Midwest’s built environment through strategic collaboration.

In addition to her new position, Blasdel is a board member for the Near North Development Corporation and New Hope of Indiana. With a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science and Economics from DePauw University and a Master of Business Administration with a focus on Global Supply Chain Management from the University of Indianapolis, Blasdel brings a diverse background to Schmidt Associates.

Her experience includes roles in government, higher education, nonprofit, and community organizations. Most recently, she served as vice president of operations for The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis and as the founder/Owner of Blasdel Solutions. She resides in Speedway, Ind., with her husband and son.
