Industrial Commercial Properties recently acquired the Concord Mall in Elkhart, Indiana. ICP plans to redevelop the 600,000-square-foot facility and adjacent outparcels into a mixed-use development.
Concord Mall is a regional mall built in 1972 that has been suffering vacancies in recent years. In early 2023, JCPenney announced plans to close its Concord Mall location, leaving Hobby Lobby as the mall’s sole anchor tenant. Hobby Lobby will continue to operate here.
“The acquisition of this property presents a tremendous opportunity to reshape the area into a sensational mixed-use district,” said Keith Brandt, executive vice president at ICP.
