A group of one dozen Chicago women active in the commercial real estate industry have banded together to walk in the June 2-3 Avon Walk for Breast Cancer event and raise funds to help fight cancer.
The team, which calls itself Industrial Strength for the Cure because so many are connected to industrial real estate in some form or fashion, includes:
- Susan Bergdoll – Vice President, Duke Realty
- Ann Dee – in house counsel, Duke Realty
- Lynn Reich, SIOR, CCIM, FRICS, Executive Vice President, Colliers International
- Kim Adams – Executive Director, JP Morgan, Global Real Estate Assets
- Collete English-Dixon – Principal, Transactions, Prudential Real Estate Investors
- Anne Dempsey – Senior Associate, Land Advisory Group, Colliers Asset Resolution Team
- Suzanne Serino – Principal, Avison Young
- Stephanie Park – First Vice President, Investment and Capital Markets, CBRE
- Cindy McSherry – Executive Director for ULI/NAIOP
- Cathy Ellenbogen – retired CMD Realty Executive
- Brenda Crisp – Senior Vice President, Group Manager, Jones Lang LaSalle
“Strength in numbers … this is what it will take to find a cure,” said the team captain, Lynn Reich. “We each have our reasons for participating and those reasons translate to a deep commitment to the cause.”
As a team, Industrial Strength for the Cure has a goal of raising $50,000. The team and its individual members are accepting donations and pledges for the walk. For more information or to donate, visit http://info.avonfoundation.org/goto/industrialstrength. Online team donations are due by April 30; individuals can receive donations through and after the walk.
Industrial Strength for the Cure will walk the Lake Michigan shoreline and beyond, past Chicago’s architectural landmarks – down the Magnificent Mile and through vibrant neighborhoods. They will also take in views of Wrigley Field, Field Museum and Navy Pier.
