Paul Choukourian, a veteran real estate executive with nearly two decades of experience, has been tapped to head Colliers International‘s Detroit region as managing director. Choukourian will oversee the Detroit and Ann Arbor, Mich., offices.

“Paul was the perfect candidate to lead our Detroit region going forward,” said Dylan Taylor, chief executive officer for Colliers International in the Uunited States. “He has a unique, multi-faceted real estate background, which positions him to accelerate our clients’ success by helping them to utilize the diverse service platform Colliers International offers.”

Choukourian most recently served as the director of leasing and market development for KIRCO in Troy, Mich., where his responsibilities included marketing and leasing of the firm’s portfolio of office, industrial and healthcare properties and vacant land. Before that, he served as director of leasing and marketing at Liberty Property Trust of Tampa, Fla., responsible for the firm’s 3-million square-foot portfolio of flex and industrial properties.
