Inland Real Estate Group of Companies, Inc.’s chairman and CEO, Dan Goodwin, has been named a winner of the Good Neighbor Awards. The awards, presented by The National Association of Realtors, recognize dedicated realtors from across the country committed to volunteer work and who serve as leaders in their communities.
Goodwin, based in Oak Brook, Illinois, founded New Directions Housing Corp., a nonprofit that provides affordable housing for low-income residents. NDHC has built or rehabbed nearly 500 multifamily units throughout Illinois since 1994. The nonprofit partners with other groups to provide residents with services like Meals on Wheels, after-school programs, free flu shots, and recreational activities. Goodwin has also served on the board of the Illinois Housing Development Authority Trust Fund and chaired the first Affordable Housing Task Force for DuPage County.
