Inland Real Estate Corp. has announced the signing of a lease with specialty grocer Whole Foods Market to occupy approximately 30,000 square feet at Ravinia Plaza in Orland Park. One of the world’s largest retailers of natural and organic foods, Whole Foods Market will occupy space formerly leased to Borders. The store is scheduled to open in spring 2013.
“As the only Whole Foods Market within 20 miles and only their 12th location in Illinois outside of the city of Chicago, this new store will be a powerful draw for our center,” said Scott Carr, president of property management for IRC. “This is the first Whole Foods Market in our portfolio and an outstanding complement to the mix of national and local retailers at Ravinia Plaza.”
Ravinia Plaza, located at 15150-15260 S. La Grange Road, is a 101,384-square-foot shopping center positioned in the heart of Orland Park’s busy retail market. Tenants at the center include Panera Bread, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Pier 1 Imports and James & Sons Jewelry.
