In a cost cutting move, Integrys Energy Group Inc. has signed a lease for 150,000 square feet in the Aon Center at 200 E. Randolph, which it will occupy in June of 2014.
Intergrys, the parent company of People’s Gas and North Shore Gas, has been gradually downsizing its footprint at its currentl location of One Prudential Plaza at 130 E. Randolph Street. The firm has reduced its space from 238,000 square feet to approximately 196,000 square feet in the past few years. The move to the Aon Center will reduce its footprint by another 25 percent.
At 1,136 feet, Aon Center is the 5th tallest building in the United States. Amenities are abundant and include a 25,000-square-foot cafeteria, a 243-seat auditorium, 12 meeting rooms and an 800-car garage. It is linked, via the lower lobby, to the Fairmont Hotel and Lakeshore Athletic Club.
Studley’s Tiffany Winne, senior managing director, Lisa Davidson, executive managing director, and Joe Learner executive vice president, represented Integrys Energy Group, Inc. in the deal, while Steve Smith and Mike Curran from Jones Lang LaSalle represented the owner, Piedmont Office Realty Trust.
