Rebecca Cornatzer, interim president and chief human resources officer with St. Louis-based construction management firm S.M. Wilson & Co., is one of the 100 C-level executives and CEOs chosen for the 2024 St. Louis Titan 100.

This program recognizes the St. Louis area’s most accomplished business leaders in their industries using criteria that demonstrate exceptional leadership, vision and passion.

In a typically male-dominated industry, Cornatzer, who has been with the company for seven years, has helped open doors for females in the construction industry. S. M. Wilson & Co., a 100% employee-owned, construction management company, saw a need to prioritize and invest in diversified talent. With a looming construction trade worker shortage and the desire to position the firm for future success, it was essential to strengthen recruitment efforts to find diverse talent for its progressive culture while addressing the workplace shortage in field positions.

Since joining S. M. Wilson, Cornatzer’s efforts have significantly shaped the firm’s workplace, especially for women. The firm has been an honoree for the last three years in the Women’s Foundation of Greater St. Louis’ fourth annual Women in the Workplace: Employment Scorecard.
