Interra Realty facilitated the sale of two multifamily buildings in the northwest Chicago area totaling $2.98 million. The six-unit 2337 John Rolfe Drive in Schaumburg, Ill., sold for $1.08 million, while the 12-unit 8755 W. Foster Ave. in Chicago’s O’Hare submarket transacted for $1.9 million.
Interra Managing Partner Patrick Kennelly, Managing Partner Paul Waterloo and Director Nathan Zito represented both the confidential buyer and seller of 2337 John Rolfe. Kennelly, Waterloo and Zito also represented the undisclosed buyer and seller of 8755 W. Foster. Both properties were fully occupied at the time of sale.
2337 John Rolfe was constructed in 1977 and includes six two-bedroom apartments. All units include balconies or terraces, in-unit laundry and two assigned parking spaces.
The property is close to dining, shopping and entertainment options in downtown Schaumburg, as well as Woodfield Mall. The area is served by Metra’s Hanover Park station on the Milwaukee District West Line.
With the sale of 2337 John Rolfe, Interra has closed eight multifamily deals in the O’Hare submarket since 2023. Other transactions include 8657 W. Berwyn Ave., 8622 W. Berwyn Ave., 8531-8535 W. Bryn Mawr Ave., 8524-28 W. Gregory St., 8532-36 W. Gregory St., 8544-48 W. Gregory St. and 5240 N. Oakview Ave.
Constructed in 1978 and very well maintained, 8755 W. Foster features one studio and 11 one-bedroom layouts, most with balconies. This is the first time the asset has traded hands in nearly 40 years.
8755 W. Foster is close to multiple storefronts, restaurants and attractions, including Rosemont Theatre, Fashion Outlets of Chicago, Parkway Bank Park and the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center. In addition to the airport, located about 10 minutes to the west, the area is served by the CTA’s Cumberland Blue Line station and multiple bus routes.
