Chicago-based commercial real estate investment services firm Interra Realty announced the promotion of Patrick Kennelly from director to managing partner, as well as the hiring of three additional employees to bolster the firm’s brokerage and marketing teams.
“Patrick is a consummate real estate professional with a deep financial background that complements his knowledge of Chicago’s commercial market,” said David Goss, co-founder and managing principal of Interra Realty. “We’re taking a huge leap forward with him as our newest managing partner, and I expect his positive outlook and work ethic in this new role will accelerate our growing business.”
As an agent at Interra Realty since 2014 and director for more than two years, Kennelly specializes in multifamily and mixed-use sales in the Chicago area while representing a large variety of property owners, developers, lenders and investors. Under a leadership team that included Kennelly, the firm closed nearly 100 transactions totaling approximately $205 million in 2017, an 81 percent increase over the previous year.
Prior to joining Interra Realty, Kennelly worked as an analyst at national real estate investment services firm Marcus & Millichap in Chicago, where he focused on financial underwriting, asset valuation and client development. Kennelly received a bachelor’s degree in economics and entrepreneurship from the University of Iowa. He is a licensed real estate broker in the state of Illinois.
Interra Realty now operates with a staff of 19 working out of the firm’s River North headquarters. The three new employees are Bill McNamara, Harrison Pinkus and Jessica Langner.
McNamara is a brokerage director with a diverse background in real estate and marketing who helped launch Apartments.com before it was sold to CoStar for $585 million in 2014. An industry veteran with 20 years of experience specializing in multifamily, McNamara has built long-standing relationships and is well-known for continually delivering results. McNamara graduated from St. Norbert College with a bachelor’s degree in communications. He is a licensed real estate broker in the state of Illinois.
A native Chicagoan, Pinkus joins Interra Realty as an associate broker. He previously worked at Colliers International in Chicago, where he developed new business in addition to creating real estate strategies for clients regarding their office space needs. Pinkus received his bachelor’s degree in political science from Indiana University. He is a licensed real estate broker in the state of Illinois.
Langner has been named marketing director of Interra Realty, with responsibility for all marketing functions including branding, collateral material and public relations. Prior to Interra, Langner was marketing coordinator at Newmark Knight Frank in Chicago. Her responsibilities included overseeing presentations, digital materials, social media updates and supporting corporate brand management. Langner received her bachelor’s degree in visual communication from Northern Illinois University with a minor in Spanish.
