InvenTrust promotes Christy David to chief investment officer

InvenTrust Properties Corp., a retail REIT based in Downers Grove, IIIinois, announced that Christy David, executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary has been promoted to the role of chief investment officer effective immediately. She will be responsible for leading the company’s transactions team, managing all property level acquisitions and dispositions, executing on portfolio strategy and continue to serve as general counsel and corporate secretary.

David joined InvenTrust in 2014 as managing counsel – transactions; she was subsequently promoted to vice president, deputy general counsel and secretary and promoted again to senior vice president, general counsel and secretary. Prior to that, David served at the Inland Group Inc., managing, reviewing and drafting legal documents and matters for InvenTrust’s acquisitions, dispositions, corporate contracts and spin-offs. Prior to joining the Inland Group, David served as an associate attorney at The Thollander Law Firm and served in various roles at David & Associates. She serves on the Ravinia Associates Board and Nominating Committee. David received a juris doctor from Washington University School of Law and a bachelor of business administration in finance from Loyola University.

InvenTrust Properties Corp. is a multi-tenant retail REIT that owns, leases, redevelops, acquires and manages grocery-anchored neighborhood centers, and select power centers that often have a grocery component. InvenTrust became a self-managed REIT in 2014 and a Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) member in 2018. As of December 31, 2019, the company is an owner and manager of 65 retail properties, representing 10.9 million square feet of retail space.
