Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation president and chief executive officer Shannon Landauer has been named a recipient of the 2023 Economic Development 40 under 40 award. The award honors rising stars under the age of 40 in the economic development industry.
Development Counsellors International and Jorgenson Consulting host the awards program. A selection committee of six economic development leaders and site-selection consultants evaluate nominations based on the nominees’ leadership, commitment and innovation.
Landauer was hired as the Iowa Corridor’s president and chief executive officer in 2021. Before joining this EDC, Landauer was the executive director of the Carroll Area Development Corporation and the Carroll Chamber of Commerce.
Landauer currently serves as the past president of the Professional Developers of Iowa board of directors, has served on the faculty and now on the board for the Heartland Economic Development Course and is involved in other boards and committees.
