Irgens and St. Luke’s have broken ground on an 86,315-square-foot state-of-the-art medical center on a 16-acre site in Sioux City, Iowa. The two-story glass and masonry facility will serve as a regional hub for healthcare delivery in the tri-state area. Healthcare services will include family practice, urgent care, imaging, lab, infusion, cardiology and other specialty clinics.
“As the development manager, we are excited to be working closely with St. Luke’s, our partners and the local community to bring this exciting project to reality,” said Rick Nelson, vice president and market manager for Irgens. “By implementing innovative building design with the latest in medical technology, the Sunnybrook Medical Plaza will be the premier medical office building in the Sioux City market when it is completed.”
As development manager, Irgens has overseen all facets of the project, including site due diligence, entitlements and design/construction administration. The facility is scheduled for completion in summer 2013.
In addition to Irgens and St. Luke’s, project team members include Eppstein Uhen and Cannon Moss Brygger & Associates as architects, along with W.A. Klinger as general contractor.
