J.C. Anderson has completed a 65,000-square-foot office renovation project for an undisclosed financial services firm in the Chicago Loop.
Construction included building-out the space to create open office areas, conference rooms, a board room, huddle rooms and new reception area featuring a client lounge and reception desk with etched glass and wood veneer wall panels with branding. A large upscale lunchroom was also added which is now adaptable for group gatherings, presentations and meetings.
The new space features renovated elevator lobbies with metal panels, hard tile flooring, custom millwork, client-facing conference rooms featuring high-end audiovisual systems and video conferencing, millwork panels, breakout coffee stations and demountable partitions for future growth and flexibility.
“One of the largest challenges on this project was the audiovisual integration,” said J.C. Anderson project executive Joe Maguire. “The project required precise coordination and communication involving multiple trades, third party contractors and the end user. Our team tackled this challenge with constant communication, weekly coordination meetings and in-depth training throughout the project.”
The construction team for J.C. Anderson was led by Maguire, project manager Mike Ruffolo and superintendent Bob Hickey. Partners by Design provided the architectural services and JLL provided project management services.
