J.C. Anderson has been selected to complete a renovation project for German engineering and technology company, Bosch, at Oakbrook Terrace Tower. Located at One Tower Lane in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois, the 31-story building is a landmark of the western suburb.
Bosch selected J.C. Anderson to complete a 92,840-square-foot build-out to the top five floors of the building, as well as a 15,883-square-foot build-out to a separate commercial asset on the property called “the annex.” Bosch is relocating approximately 350 employees from its Automotive Aftermarket Division at 2800 S. 25th Avenue in Broadview, Illinois to its new space at One Tower Lane.
“The purpose for this relocation is to have a new space to foster collaboration within our diverse and inclusive culture,” said Bosch vice president of sales and marketing services Paul D’Cruz, “providing associates with a work environment that is more accommodating of people’s needs and preferences.” Scheduled for completion in November 2020, construction will include the addition of conference/training rooms, private offices, as well as open office and seating areas. J.C. Anderson will also complete a build-out to the annex, which will serve as a testing/lab facility for Bosch.
“The preconstruction phase included extensive and collaborative budgeting efforts between team members to ensure the project is under budget and proceeds on an aggressive schedule,” said J.C. Anderson project executive, Seth Erlich. “The end result of this project will showcase the top floor of One Tower Lane, which has four bays of large triangular windows that feature views of the Chicago skyline and surrounding suburbs.”
The construction team for J.C. Anderson is led by Erlich, project manager Andrew Mott and superintendents Bob Hickey and Bill Dennison. Whitney is providing the architectural services and Cushman & Wakefield is providing project management services.
