J.C. Anderson, Inc. has completed 40,000 square feet in build-outs to DePaul University’s Byrne Hall and McGowan South Science Building on the Chicago school’s Lincoln Park Campus.
Byrne Hall houses classrooms and faculty offices for DePaul University. It is located at 2219 N. Kenmore Avenue in Chicago, in the heart of the Lincoln Park neighborhood. J.C. Anderson, Inc. completed a 24,500-square-foot build-out to Byrne Hall, which included the addition of offices and conference rooms, as well as lab space on multiple floors.
J.C. Anderson, Inc. was also selected to complete a 15,500-square-foot build-out to the McGowan South Science Building. McGowan South features more than 30 labs used for classroom instruction and research, lecture halls, multiple study lounges, two rooftop greenhouses and a student-maintained rooftop garden. J.C. Anderson, Inc. constructed a new 3,500-square-foot lab on the third floor and a 12,000-square-foot lab on the fourth floor of the building.
The construction team for J.C. Anderson, Inc. was led by chief operating officer Steve Boulukos, senior project manager Joseph Maguire and project manager Larry Regovic. Vasilko & Architects Associates provided the architectural services.
