J.C. Anderson has completed a 50,000-square-foot office build-out for Burns & McDonnell at 200 W. Adams Street in Chicago.
Burns & McDonnell is an engineering design firm headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri. The company provides engineering, architecture, construction, environmental and consulting services for the aviation, defense, environmental and utilities markets. Founded in 1898, Burns & McDonnell is 100% employee-owned with 60 offices globally.
The company selected J.C. Anderson to complete a 50,000 square foot, three-floor, build-out to its Chicago office space at 200 W. Adams Street. Construction included the addition of multiple conference rooms, a pantry area, elevator lobby, a fully-integrated videoconferencing boardroom, a technology filled multi-purpose training room and a brand-new staircase to connect the floors. The space features an open ceiling concept and new finishes throughout.
“This was a fast-paced project and we made sure to maintain a high-level of communication from the beginning,” said J.C. Anderson Project Executive John Angelovich. “Long lead items were ordered early to meet the schedule and resolutions to any issues were addressed immediately. The structural complexity and coordination of the open staircase took precise coordination and completion was achieved two weeks ahead of schedule.”
The construction team for J.C. Anderson was led by Angelovich and Superintendent Darrel Panfil. Hydzik Schade Associates provided the architectural services.
