Jan Kratky Associate Broker (Former President) NAI NP Dodge Omaha, NE
Jan Kratky may have retired his leadership post recently, but his impact is still being felt at NAI NP Dodge in Omaha.
Kratky boasts more than 38 years of commercial real estate experience. He recently “retired” as president of NAI NP Dodge to spend more time with family and friends. The firm, however, grew under Kratky’s leadership. The sales staff stood at eight when he became president. Full-time agents numbered 24 when he decided to step down.
NAI NP Dodge also achieved great success during Kratky’s time at the helm. The number of listings increased by 467 percent during his tenure. And in spite of a tight economy, total volume for 2011 was up 20 percent from 2010.
Kratky’s list of significant transactions includes office leases to Merrill Lynch for Omaha and AT&T; supermarket transactions with Bakers, Albertsons & Hy-Vee; and lease transactions with General Motors, Walgreens, Hallmark and United Airlines.
“Besides all of this, I personally know Jan is a fantastic person and boss,” said one nominator. “He is an example to all who meet him – both personally and professionally.” Kratky was president/owner of a full-service commercial real estate firm that merged with NP Dodge in 1995. His new role as a broker allows him to continue to work with his clients in all areas of commercial real estate.
Kratky’s success throughout his career has not gone unnoticed. As an example, he received the prestigious Chairman’s Award from NAI Global in 2008.
Kratky also is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, NAI Global Investment Services Group, and a former NAI business director. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. In addition, he minored in real estate and industrial management.
