Jason Spataro hired as PREMIER Design + Build Group’s assistant project manager

PREMIER Design + Build Group’s statement regarding Jason Spataro:

We’re proud to have Jason Spataro on board as an assistant project manager at our corporate office. He is here to help our project management teams promote progress at every milestone and meet scheduled construction objectives. Ultimately, this will lead to success for clients in and around Chicago. He is excited for the opportunity to get into a project management career and has the energy and enthusiasm tailor-made for PREMIER Design + Build Group, LLC.

Spataro assists with bidding and budgeting and produces subcontract information including change orders and billing. He is also responsible for RFI and submittal tracking, preparing client and internal meeting documentation and project closeouts. In addition, Spataro participates in design coordination and interacts with clients.

He believes in a creative problem solving philosophy that starts with sound strategic reasoning. He also knows that all the talent and skillsets in the world need practical application to make a difference. That’s why Spataro is an advocate of the 24/7 focus on clients that defines PREMIER in the commercial and industrial sectors.

He has translated a career in education to the construction industry. He was a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) teacher for Chicago Public Schools and worked alongside a retired mechanical engineer. While there, he helped increase enrollment by 150% and promoted a team-oriented environment while teaching coding, building and circuits at six schools. He also worked as a research assistant at University of Illinois, Chicago, where he conducted engineering research. He created presentations to convey research results to his group and peers, modeled results and analyzed data.

Spataro graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is knowledgeable in C++ programming, AutoCAD design and Fortran imperative programming. He stays active by going on 5K and 8K runs and also played competitive intramural basketball.
