Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP (SOM) announced the hiring of Jeannette Lenear Peruchini as a new associate director and interior design leader in Chicago.
Peruchini has more than 15 years of experience as a designer, project manager, and business development lead. She worked as a landscape architect and project manager before becoming a vice president for international business development, leading large teams in the U.S. and abroad. In her previous role at VOA Associates, she worked to establish a local office in Dubai and was responsible for growing the firm’s presence in the region. She returned to Chicago to lead business development for her former firm’s workplace interiors studio and was promoted to lead the interiors group in 2011.
Peruchini and her projects have won numerous awards, including the Illinois Chapter of the International Interior Design Association RED Award, the American Society of Interior Designers Illinois Design Excellence Award, the Chicago Building Congress Merit Award, and the Interior Design Magazine Best of Year Award. She is an active member of CoreNet Global, is a member of Contract Magazine’s editorial advisory board, and is part of the Chicago Executives’ Club. She holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame and a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
