Matthews Real Estate Investment Services™, a commercial real estate investment services and technology firm, recently hired industry veteran Jeffrey Cohen as vice president under Matthews™ Capital Markets. Cohen specializes in commercial real estate financing throughout the U.S., with a specialized focus on the Midwest and Chicago metro area.
Bringing 15 years of transactional and advisory experience, Cohen held several positions at Cushman & Wakefield, including 10 years with the equity, debt, and structured finance group, specializing in capital market advisory and placement services. Most recently, Cohen held positions with JMB Financial Advisors and CrowdStreet. Throughout his career, Cohen has executed leasing transactions totaling over 3.75 million square feet, in addition to completing $1 billion in property sales and over $2 billion of debt placement and advisory assignments.
The company’s Chicago office has also welcomed several senior associates since the start of the year, specializing in both investment sales and debt and equity services.
