Freshly sliced and grilled East Coast-style subs are coming to East Peoria by way of a new Jersey Mike’s Subs location to open this summer at The Levee District at East Peoria. Franchise owners Tony Rubba and G Abu Saba will occupy a space of just more than 1,500 square feet along West Washington Street, adjacent to Tequila’s Mexican Bar & Grill.
Jersey Mike’s got its start at the Jersey Shore in 1956 and continued to grow in 2012 with 92 new restaurants opening across the country. The East Peoria location will be only the third to open in Central Illinois, joining locations in Springfield and Champaign.
Family Dental Care of East Peoria, a new full-service, state-of-the-art family dental practice, also officially opens July 31.
Family Dental Care of East Peoria will be located at 600 W. Washington St. in East Peoria, across from Costco and adjacent to Target.
In addition, Tequila’s Mexican Bar & Grill and GNC are open for business at The Levee District and grand opening plans are underway for Ross Dress for Less, Potbelly Sandwich Shop and Red Robin. More details on the official dates they will be open to the public will be released at a later time.
