JLL brings property management services to Iowa

As part of JLL’s continued growth in Des Moines, the firm announced today it has selected veteran JLL manager Amber Valentine to lead the Property Management Services platform.

In her new position, Valentine will oversee operational and financial property management initiatives, as well as execute on client-specific objectives. Prior to this role, Valentine served as a Senior Facility Manager with JLL.

This expansion aligns strategically with the tremendous increase in market activity in Central Iowa over the past year. Currently, JLL manages a portfolio of 907,000 square feet of commercial real estate across the state and expects that to grow as emerging office locations such as Kettlestone, The Parkways, The Market District and Gray’s Lake Office Park ramp up supporting amenities to attract office developments.

Additionally, changes are afoot for business owners in the area. Local trends indicate that companies are transitioning their offices from leased spaces into owner-occupied spaces, further emphasizing the need for specialized management services.

“The market’s increased demand for property management services makes it an exciting time to be in commercial real estate in Iowa,” said Valentine. “As the competition around attracting and retaining talent continues to rise, so does the need for top-performing buildings. I look forward to taking on this new role with JLL and helping area business owners achieve their goals.”

Valentine has more than 14 years of commercial real estate experience and serves as Co-Chair of the Midwest Chapter of JLL’s Women’s Business Network.
