Third-party logistics company DSV has signed a 368,537-square-foot lease for the former Best Buy distribution center at 9780 Mopar Drive in Streetsboro, Ohio.
This transaction represents the largest industrial lease signed in Cleveland in the second quarter of 2022. Industrial Logistics Properties Trust, managed by The RMR Group, was represented by David Stecker of JLL. Joe Messina and Dominic Carbonari of JLL represented DSV.
Located directly off Interstate-480 and the Ohio Turnpike, 9780 Mopar Drive features 68 docks, two drive-in doors, ESFR sprinkler systems and 32-foot clear heights. The building also features a 14,500-square-foot office area and is situated on 27 acres, which allows for ample car and trailer parking, both of which are key criteria for logistics and e-commerce warehouse users. Streetsboro’s proximity to dining, retail and lodging also attracts end users, as these types of amenities help recruit and retain talent.
DSV absorbing the sizable vacancy left by Best Buy is no surprise given the lack of inventory in Class A Industrial space and strong demand in Cleveland. According to JLL’s latest research, Northeast Ohio has seen a record-breaking 3.4 million square feet of absorption in the first half of 2022.
DSV will be moving into the facility in September.
