JLL will be partnering with Catholic Charities for its latest service project May 10 in Kansas City, Missouri.
The JLL team of volunteers, representing the Kansas City office’s various business lines, will be retrofitting a shipping container into a functioning walk-in cold-storage for the non-profit organization New Roots for Refugees.
The program teaches 16 participating families the skills necessary to grow their own produce, which they then take to local farmer’s markets, retailers and restaurants that specialize in farm-to-table concepts.
Last year, the JLL Kansas City office partnered with Catholic Charities to build a new cooling storage for two graduating families from the program to house their surplus produce.
