The Valspar Corporation, a paint manufacturer, has expanded its lease by 18,000 square feet at the O’Hare Plaza office complex, where the company now leases a total of 58,000 square feet.
Jones Lang LaSalle’s Dan Fernitz and Rick Benoy, the exclusive leasing agents for the four-building 700,000-square-foot complex, completed the transaction on behalf of the building’s ownership. David Burden of Colliers International represented Valspar.
Minneapolis-based Valspar moved its Architectural Products division onto the building’s top three floors last June and is taking the additional space on the ninth floor. The division makes paints, stains and varnishes for do-it-yourselfers and contractors.
O’Hare Plaza is located at 8725 W. Higgins Road (near East River Road) on Chicago’s far Northwest Side.
The building features covered parking, an on-site cafeteria and sundry shop, conference facilities and easy access to O’Hare Airport, the suburbs and downtown Chicago via the Kennedy Expressway and the CTA Blue Line’s Cumberland station.
