Nystrom, Inc., a manufacturer of commercial building products, recently completed a lease expansion and relocation totaling about 51,000 square feet of manufacturing space in Brooklyn Park, Minn.

Jones Lang LaSalle provided tenant representation services for Nystrom in this transaction.

The converted warehouse space being leased by Nystrom features about 3,000 square feet of office space. The rest of the space is newly constructed manufacturing space. The company previously had leased about 30,000 square feet, but needed to expand because of the increased demand for products from clients.

Nystrom specializes in the design and manufacture of complementary commercial building products and services. Products produced by Nystrom include access doors, roof hatches, smoke vents, expansion joint systems, floor hatches, louvers, fire safety, safety railing systems, entrance flooring systems stair nosings and wall protection, among other items.

Chris Rohrer, executive vice president, and Brett Severson, senior associate, both of Jones Lang LaSalle, represented Nystrom in the transaction.

“The Nystrom story is a great story in this marketplace. Here you have a manufacturer of commercial building products, two industries that are among the hardest hit by the recession, expanding due to client demand,” said Brett Severson, Jones Lang LaSalle. “We’d like to believe this is a good sign for the marketplace.”
