The toy maker TOMY International is relocating its North American headquarters to Arden Realty Inc.’s Commerce Plaza office complex in west suburban Oak Brook.
TOMY, which is moving from the nearby 1111 W. 22nd St. building (also in Oak Brook), has signed a long-term lease with Arden for 24,649 square feet at the new location.
Jones Lang LaSalle Senior Vice President Todd Schaefer represented TOMY, which manufactures and markets toys under popular and classic licensed properties such as Chuggington, Pokémon, Dinosaur Train, John Deere brands as well as products for mothers, infants and toddlers marketed under its The First Years, Lamaze, JJ Cole Collections and Boon brands.
Jones Lang LaSalle’s Jeff Shay, Bruce Renwick and Karla Harmon – as well as Adren’s Senior Portfolio Leasing Manager Laura Quayle — represented Arden, a fully integrated office platform of GE Capital Real Estate.
By moving to Commerce Plaza, TOMY was able to create a more open, creative and updated work environment — both in terms of technology and design — according to Randy Peltier, the company’s vice president of marketing, technology and operations.
The 555,000-square-foot building, which is located at 2015 Spring Road, across from the Oak Brook Mall, features on-site food service, conferencing facilities, a fitness center, a sundry shop, a barber shop, a heated executive parking garage, manned security and on-site property management.
