Jones Lang LaSalle has negotiated the sale the 70-year-old post office building in downtown Naperville, one of seven properties in the Chicago suburbs that the company is currently marketing for sale on behalf of the U.S. Postal Service.
The 10,540-square-foot building, which is located at 5 S. Washington Street, went under contract on January 20th with Naperville Bank & Trust, a subsidiary of Lake Forest-based Wintrust Financial Corporation. The sale is expected to close in March with the bank taking occupancy of the space sometime this fall.
Under the terms of the deal, the bank would lease back approximately 2,000 square feet of space to the Postal Service, which would continue to provide retail services at the location.
