Jon Runyan has joined Kadean Construction as vice president in the design-build contractor’s Kansas City, Missouri, office. He will lead the Kansas City office as it continues to grow and expand while also providing company-wide leadership support as a member of Kadean’s executive team. \
Runyan has 15 years of successful leadership experience in the construction industry.
Runyan comes to Kadean from Luke Draily Construction in Riverside, Missouri, where he played an instrumental role leading the land acquisition, entitlement process and financing structure of a $56 million development at the Legends. Before that, he was President of Barsto Construction in Kansas City. Runyan guided the company through the recession and then refocused its business model from hard bid projects to negotiated work. He led a dedicated team that grew the company to revenues of $45 million and oversaw the successful sale of the company to a new ownership group in 2015.
Runyan holds a BS in Supply Chain Management from Arizona State University.
