Kadean Construction has been tapped by St. Louis-based Dover Development and Cedarhurst Senior Living to build Cedarhurst of Blue Springs, a multi-unit senior care facility in Blue Springs, Missouri.
The $9 million project includes a 61,007-square-foot, two-story, wood-frame facility that will offer 49 assisted-living and 20 memory care apartments in all-private suites.
It also includes various common areas, such as a kitchen and dining hall, physical therapy unit, entertainment areas, and other amenities, said Mike Eveler, president of St. Louis-based Kadean Construction.
The project is scheduled to be completed in November of 2018.
Before winning the contract to build the assisted-living facility, Kadean was selected to complete the site infrastructure work on the five-lot, 22-acre Trinity Woods development, just south of Interstate-70 at Little Blue Parkway, where the Cedarhurst facility will be located.
Cedarhurst Senior Living, part of the St. Louis-based Dover Companies, currently operates 12 senior-living communities in Missouri, Illinois and Kansas, and has numerous projects under development throughout the Midwest.
