Kadean Construction has been awarded the interior build-out for developer Trammell Crow Company of a new 202,800-square-foot building at KCI Intermodal BusinessCentre, a distribution and logistics park adjacent to Kansas City International Airport in Kansas City, Missouri.
The new $11.5 million tilt-up building – known as LogisticsCentre III – is a modern, multi-tenant, front-load warehouse/distribution facility that incorporates sustainable design and construction features. The building has 31 docks, a 32-foot high ceiling, and is constructed with a structural steel frame, tilt-up concrete walls, and a seven-inch-thick reinforced concrete floor.
LogisticsCentre III is located next to LogisticsCentre II, a 423,928-square-foot manufacturing facility, and near LogisticsCentre IV, a 432,640-square-foot distribution center, both of which also were constructed by Kadean.
Additionally, Kadean recently completed Phase 3 infrastructure in the park for Trammell Crow Company. The work entailed sewers, roadways and preparation for a building pad that will host a 542,640-square-foot building. Construction on that building could begin this year.
