Tim Cowden has been named president of the Kansas City Area Development Council. He will also become the organization’s chief executive officer on Feb. 1.
Bob Marcusse, the organizatin’s current chief executive officer, is retiring on Jan. 31.
Cowden has worked with the Kansas City Area Development Council since 1998. He previously held economic-development roles in Wichita Falls, Salt Lake City and Texas.
