Kansas City’s ACI Boland names principal

Keith Crane

Kansas City, Missouri-based ACI Boland Architects has promoted Keith Crane to principal.

In his new role, Crane increases leadership for the firm’s growing healthcare studio. He will continue to provide clients with access to ACI Boland’s resources and streamline the delivery of design services to better impact the families that the firm serves.

“Keith is a great communicator and inspires the team to deliver well-crafted healthcare designs that exceed our clients’ expectations,” said Sam Beckman, Heal Studio Director and Principal.

Crane has been in the industry for 23 years, including ACI Boland as an Architect since 2017. He quickly demonstrated the ability to acquire and develop lasting client relationships and continually motivates and mentors younger staff within the firm.

His career has consisted of a variety of project types and locations, including an arena in New Zealand and a military base relocation in Japan. He found his passion for healthcare when he worked on a hospital renovation at an Air Force Base in Mississippi.

“Difficult hospital renovations are the most complex and rewarding projects I’ve worked on,” said Crane. “Making sure all the clients’ needs are met is truly rewarding.”

He currently leads the internal Standards Committee and BIM Management Group and is managing the firm’s initial outfitting initiative. He looks forward to guiding clients through an open, collaborative process to find creative design solutions for each project.
