Kansas City-based Block Real Estate Services was one of the four Homerun winners with the KC Chapter of CCIM.
Each year the KC CCIM chapter selects completed deals that were big, significant or unique. Once applications are submitted the board of directors reviews each application and chooses the top projects in industrial—lease or owner/user sale, office—lease, retail—lease and investment—sale.
Block Real Estate Services submitted the investment deal for the Grandview Medical Center, a deal that featured many moving parts. The transaction included two properties from the same seller. One was partially built while the other was completed. Both had to be purchased at one time to appease the lender and avoid foreclosure.
Stephen Bessenbacher was the lead on this project, and presented the deal at the CCIM KC Chapter breakfast in mid-February. The award was presented to both Stephen Block and Bessenbacher from Block Real Estate Services.
