Kansas City, Missouri-based JE Dunn Construction named Bethany Ropa Chief Financial Officer.

Currently serving as Head of Americas for Real Estate, Lodging & Leisure at UBS Investment Bank, Ropa will assume this position, effective April 28.

Ropa is already a part of the JE Dunn family, previously serving on the JE Dunn Board of Directors, and brings not only a deep knowledge of real estate and investments but also a great understanding of the company, its values, and its culture.

Ropa will replace Beth Soukup, who is retiring after 11 years at JE Dunn. Soukup played a pivotal role in advancing JE Dunn’s Employee Stock Ownership Program and drove outstanding results, helping grow annual revenue each year. Her leadership, energy, and passion have been contagious, making her not only a key driver of JE Dunn’s success but also a tremendous role model and advocate for female employees.

In addition to planning, implementing, and managing all financial-related activity for the company, Ropa will focus on strategic growth, using her extensive transaction experience to lead JE Dunn’s financial strategy to drive continued success. During her 17-year career at UBS, Ropa completed over $100 billion in M&A, equity capital markets, debt capital markets, and financing transactions and has experience working across multiple sub-sectors in real estate.

Ropa has also been actively involved in the Urban Land Institute, serving as a Global Governing Trustee and Chair of the New York District Council. She received a Master of Business Administration from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a Bachelor of Arts in French from Walla Walla University.
