Kansas City’s Jones Development makes pair of key promotions

Kansas City, Missouri-based industrial real estate development company Jones Development recently made two internal promotions.

Nick Jones will be the firms new president, while Cameron Cooper will be promoted to executive vice president — development.

The firm’s founder, Kevin Jones, will now serve as chairman of the board. Kevin Jones’ real estate career began in 1977. He founded Jones Development, winning FedEx as one of his first clients.

“I feel fortunate that the market has taken off like it has over the years and that a second generation can guide us into the future,” Kevin Jones said. “Competition has grown stronger and we’ve had to stay true to our core value of being an honest, hardworking organization that is a strategic partner.”

Nick Jones joined the family business nearly 20 years and has since been involved in the development, planning or sale of more than 100 projects totaling nearly 20 million square feet with an aggregate value exceeding $2 billion.

Since joining Jones Development in 2015, Cooper has completed a wide range of projects with a combined total value exceeding $500 million.
