Kansas City-based Zimmer Real Estate Services will provide financial support to the new Helzberg Penguin Plaza exhibit at the Kansas City Zoo. The initiative is part of the annual Zimmer Cares initiative.
Zimmer Cares each year selects a philanthropic organization to support. Zimmer employees are involved in the year-long planning of numerous events designed to raise money and awareness for these causes. The zoo’s penguin exhibit is now under construction.
Zimmer will host a fund-raiser event to raise money for the project. This event — Zimmer Zoo: Party Like a Penguin — will be held Sept. 12 at Zimmer’s headquarters, 1220 Washington St., Kansas City, MO.
The Helzberg Penguin Plaza will feature an Antarctic environment designed for a variety of penguin species.
